This page explains how information on this site is produced. It is written plainly so you can judge whether to trust what you read here.
What we are
Therapeutic Vapes Australia is an information and retail business. We are not a pharmacy, and we are not a healthcare provider. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and none of it replaces a conversation with a pharmacist, GP or nurse practitioner.
Where our information comes from
For anything regulatory or clinical we use primary Australian sources, in this order of preference:
- Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
- Australian Government Department of Health
- State and territory health departments
- Pharmacy Board of Australia and Ahpra
- Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, RACGP
- Quit and state Quitline services
- Peer-reviewed medical research
We do not treat competitors, retailers or advocacy organisations as authorities on Australian law. Every page making a regulatory claim links to its source.
What we will not do
- Invent authors, reviewers, qualifications or credentials.
- Claim a health professional reviewed something when none did.
- Present a product as approved, registered or endorsed when it is not.
- Publish clinical efficacy claims we cannot source.
- Imply we are a pharmacy, or that we can supply therapeutic vapes.
- Advise anyone on how to obtain products outside the lawful pathway.
Medical review: our current position
We want to be straightforward about this. No registered health professional currently reviews content on this site. Because of that we restrict ourselves to factual, sourced material, what the rules are, what to expect, where to get help, and we do not publish clinical comparisons, dosing guidance or treatment recommendations.
When an Ahpra-registered health professional joins us to review content, reviewed pages will carry that person’s name, registration type and the date of review. Until then, no page will carry a reviewer byline. We would rather have a visible gap than an invented credential.
Dates
Health and regulatory pages show when they were last checked. Australian vaping regulation has changed repeatedly since 2024, so a date that looks old is a signal to verify with the TGA directly.
Commercial disclosure
We sell products. That is a commercial interest and you should read our health content with it in mind. We do not let it change what the sources say, and where the evidence favours an option we do not sell, such as registered nicotine replacement therapy or free Quitline counselling, we say so.
